Hotel Pushkar Palace, Pushkar
One of the Jewels of the Great Desert of
Rajasthan is the famous holy town of
Pushkar. It is here amongst the temples and
ghats surrounding the holy lake where the
great Brahma temple is situated. It is here
that Brahma, the creator, dropped a lotus
flower and performed a vedic "YAGNA" during
the month of Kartika which gives birth to
the Pushkar Festival. The temple here is the
only temple in India dedicated to Lord
Brahma.

built by Maharaja of Kishangarh about 400
year ago. In a majestic and impossing
setting amist hills, the hotel building
itself is modelled in traditional Rajasthani
style. Pushkar is a famous pilgrimage site
for devotees from round the world. The town
of Pushkar has more than 500 temples,
including one that is devoted to Lord
Brahma. Pushkar comes alive during the
Pushkar fair in October - November each
year.
